Vega
(Alpha Lyrae)
This star is the brightest in the constellation Lyra, the fifth brightest in the night sky, and the second brightest in the northern celestial hemisphere.
It is only 25 light-years away from Earth.
Vega was the first star (after the sun) to be photographed and have it's spectrum recorded.
Vega has an unusually low abundance of the elements with a higher atomic number than that of helium.
