Barnard's Star

Barnard's Star
(Barnard's "Runaway" Star)

This star happens to be a very low mass red-dwarf star that is six light years away. It is part of the constellation Ophiuchus. This is the 4th closest star to the sun after the Alpha Centauri. Named after the astronomer, E.E. Barnard. He registered its proper motion at 10.3 arcseconds per year, which is the largest proper motion of any star that's relative to the sun.
At 7-12 billion years of age, it is considerably much older than the sun.
The element that has the most abundance is Helium.
